About Us

Dave Burdett and his wife Kathy, went into the gun business in November, 1982, in Hearne, Texas.  Since then, the store has moved several times and it is now located on Texas Avenue South in College Station, Texas.

They also offer a complete line of reloading equipment, optics and hunting gear, as well as full service gunsmith work, including repairs and custom building of firearms.

Burdett & Son has expanded into camping and backpacking equipment and they are an

authorized distributor for the Boy Scouts of America.

In addition to Dave and Kathy, Barry Burdett (TAMU class of 00) and Andrea Burdett (TAMU class of 09) are involved with the business as gunsmith and manager.

Burdett & Son takes pride in offering Hunter Education Training as certified instructors of Texas Parks & Wildlife, as well numerous courses offered by the National Rifle Association, and Concealed Handgun training.

Our hours of operation are:

9:00 AM to 6:00 PM - Monday through Friday

9:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Saturday

Closed - Sunday
